MUST stop COMPULSIVELY checking EMAIL for POSITIVE publisher RESPONSES.
As of Monday, my manuscript has now officially been sent to FOUR publishers. My agent says to expect a two week turnaround, which, considering that I have been working on this project for probably about 5 years, is pretty darn quick.
However, when you average about 45 clicks on your webmail refresh button every minute X 60 minutes in an hour X 24 hours in a day X 7 days in a week X two…well, that is a lot of nerve-racking clicks to get through.
So, wish me luck. If you have fingers, and they are not busy doing other important things like cutting open arteries or sewing mittens for small cats, please, CROSS them for me.
my suggestion is more detailed in my blog, but in order to distract yourself, maybe you should start preparing to self-publishing either through POD or in eBook (and don’t tell you agent)
some good ideas. though i was thinking something more along the lines of cupcakes. lots and lots of cupcakes.
