What does Margaret Atwood’s office look like? Does she have a parking lot view or forest panorama? I have always been interested in artist’s spaces and how they set them up to support and stimulate their work. However as Mrs Atwood does not appear to be on the verge of inviting snoopy strangers into her home anytime soon—there is something coming up which is almost as good.
Vancouver’s East End Culture Crawl is a three-day event where artists—everyone from wood carvers, to shoe makers to glass blowers—open their studios to the public and allow people like me the opportunity to see where and how creativity happens—and maybe soak up a little of the magic in the process.
So thank you East End Culture Crawl, you inspire me.
