There is no place like home.

Unless you happen to live in New York or London reading a novel that is set in your home town is a special and rare treat, something that I am currently experiencing with Kelley Armstrong’s The Gathering.

This paranormal YA novel takes place in my home province of BC, just across the water from my current city of residence. It’s a great read, with a fresh plot and a protagonist  I would have dinner with and the fact that its landscape is one that I know dearly somehow makes me feel like I could write something just as good.

So thank you for this novel, Kelley Armstrong, it inspires me.
